Plaw builds and operates AI agents for commercial field-service companies, starting with independent fire and life safety contractors. The problem is easy to state. A technician finds a bad valve during an inspection, writes it up, and the report gets filed. The inspection gets invoiced. The repair never gets quoted. Reports, estimates, calendars, and invoices live in separate systems, nobody owns the handoff between them, and the gap repeats every inspection cycle.

An engagement starts with the Operating Audit: $5,000, fixed fee, three business days, run against the contractor's own inspection and service records to count what fell through and what it was worth. From there we build and operate agents that carry each valid job down the whole chain: finding to quote, quote to approval, approval to scheduled work, work to invoice, invoice to renewal. The agents work inside the software the company already runs. Anything that touches money, liability, or a commitment to a customer stops and waits for human approval, and Veto enforces that limit in code. Managed operation runs $2,500 a month. Customers are not buying an app. They are hiring an operator who stays accountable after go-live.

Fire sprinkler systems. Fire alarms. Portable extinguishers. Kitchen suppression. Behind each one sits a standing schedule of inspection, testing, and maintenance, the work the trade calls ITM, set out in standards like NFPA 25 for water-based systems and NFPA 72 for alarms. Every visit produces paper: a report, often a deficiency, sometimes a repair. Plaw's agents never touch a valve or a panel. They handle the records, the follow-up, and the paperwork around the money, so the licensed people can stay in the field.

Company

Plaw, Inc. was founded in 2025 by Yaz Caleb, who wrote the Veto research paper under the name Yaz Celebi, with three co-founders. The four of us came together across the San Francisco Bay Area, Istanbul, Gujarat, and London, and the company sits in San Francisco. Plaw is a signatory of the European Commission's AI Pact voluntary pledges under Pillar II.

Plaw is not a law firm. The name comes from programmable law: we build machinery that lets people write rules machines must obey. Nothing we publish is legal advice.
